COVID-19 has caused the primary community based gathering locations we serve, diners and restaurants, closed by local and state governments. Our family of advertisers who support these partners, mainly small and mid-size businesses, have also been ordered to close as nearly all of them are deemed 'non-essential’ or ’non-life sustaining’.
Because of the devastating impact of the COVID-19 crisis on our business community, the potential health risk to our family of employees, and the ordered closure of 'non-life sustaining' businesses by many states we do business in, we have suspended normal operations as of 5PM on March 20, 2020. In addition the Governor of New Jersey issued a ‘stay at home’ order for all NJ residents, as well as the required closure of ‘non-essential’ businesses in the state, effective March 21, 2020 at 9PM.
This is heartbreaking. Everyone here is family to us. We've been in business for decades, and weathered many difficult times together. From many economic recessions, to Hurricane Sandy, we've emerged and worked together to overcome challenges. We believe this will be no different, despite the unknown road ahead for the entire economy.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional information and guidance when we can. In the meantime, please follow the advice of officials on how to protect yourselves and those around you. Be kind, take care of each other, and we will all get through this.
Know our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we appreciate your prayers and support during this trying time.
